Well it is good to stop by and share a few thoughts on the beautiful art of joy.
When you think of joy what comes to mind……….. ?Take a few moments and think on that simple question. I did the same thing and smiled. Joy is something that is built into our DNA it comes from our relationship with Jesus Christ. This kind of joy can’t be bought on Amazon or streamed online or eating the best burger ever lol (I love a good burger lol). Finishing that 2 mile run. This is simply a sampling of things that bring joy that won”t last. You know?
This joy is intrinsic(belonging naturally; essential”) Thank you online dictionary from Oxford language. This joy is a natural ingredient of Salvation through Jesus Christ For it is written “Keep your eyes on Jesus, who both began and finished this race we’re in. Study how he did it. Because he never lost sight of where he was headed—that exhilarating finish in and with God—he could put up with anything along the way: Cross, shame, whatever. And now he’s there, in the place of honor, right alongside God.” Hebrews 12:2 Message Bible
When I read this passage of scripture in Hebrews 12:2,it ignited a pure curiosity which made me long for desire to envelope myself in his presence. His life poured out for all of us in his brief time on the earth. after all Jesus gave his all for the sake of the cross. So this scripture led me to the Gospels Matthew Mark Luke and John. I have to admit John is my favorite book in the Gospels. Now these books bring a joy as I listen to the Word of God, and it is alive and it is active. This Word ignites an unspeakable joy when I read about his life fully God fully man. I’m reading and the next thing I know my hands are lifted in total praise and adoration of who He is. Seeking God in his word is a distinct honor that brings fullness of joy. Because when you are reading the Bible you are in his presence. Hallelujah ! Now that simply ignites a praise in me! Come along and let’s praise Him. I love this In Genesis 1 In the beginning God created heaven and earth Proverbs 8:22-35 KJV
22 The Lord possessed me in the beginning of his way, before his works of old.
23 I was set up from everlasting, from the beginning, or ever the earth was.
24 When there were no depths, I was brought forth; when there were no fountains abounding with water.
25 Before the mountains were settled, before the hills was I brought forth:
26 While as yet he had not made the earth, nor the fields, nor the highest part of the dust of the world.
27 When he prepared the heavens, I was there: when he set a compass upon the face of the depth:
28 When he established the clouds above: when he strengthened the fountains of the deep:
29 When he gave to the sea his decree, that the waters should not pass his commandment: when he appointed the foundations of the earth:
30 Then I was by him, as one brought up with him: and I was daily his delight, rejoicing always before him;
31 Rejoicing in the habitable part of his earth; and my delights were with the sons of men.
32 Now therefore hearken unto me, O ye children: for blessed are they that keep my ways.
33 Hear instruction, and be wise, and refuse it not.
34 Blessed is the man that heareth me, watching daily at my gates, waiting at the posts of my doors.
35 For whoso findeth me findeth life, and shall obtain favour of the Lord.
This ignites a pure joy that no one can take away I praise you Lord Hallelujah Hallelujah Hallelujah!
Let’s go Lol Hallelujah! John 1: 15
1 In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
2 The same was in the beginning with God.
3 All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.
4 In him was life; and the life was the light of men.
5 And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.
6 There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.
7 The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.
8 He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.
9 That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.
10 He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.
11 He came unto his own, and his own received him not.
12 But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name:
13 Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
14 And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.
15 John bare witness of him, and cried, saying, This was he of whom I spake, He that cometh after me is preferred before me: for he was before me.
